What is a good beginner weight lifting routine?
I have a weigh lifting bench with no weights yet. I am going to buy the bar today plus some weights. How much should I start with? I was thinking 5 lb set, 10 lb set and 15 lb set.
What would be a good routine for me? (I am 25, 5' tall, 118 lbs, I want to tone my arms like Madonna's and tone my legs without looking too masculine)
Thank you!

1. You should probably go to the gym...the proper bar for weight lifting generally weighs 45 lbs itself...so you should try lifting the bar first. If you cant, get individual weights. You dont want to tear any muscles. If you want to become toned, its the reps that will help you out, not the weght. If you are losing weight, i recommend a cardio for atleast 20 minutes...which burns sugar...allowing the body to burn only fat when you lift weights....Pick the weight that you can do atleast 12-15 reps of and start there...do it everyday for a week and move up 5lbs or less if you can...its a gradual routine to become toned.
