1. Step aerobics is good. To be effective in wt loss the goal is to convert yo more muscle wt lifting is important aspect, LIGHT wts with high reps if your not trying to build big muscle.

2. There are plenty of workouts that could be better than weight-lifting. I have found that running can not only give you a great heart rate and help you exercise, but it can also be relaxing. Running helps you to collect your thoughts and think about what you want to do with whatever. Also, basic exercises like situps and pushups can also help you with working out-although they don't seem like much. Just remember to drink plenty of water and eat healthy along with working out.
