Lifting weights without equipment?
For lifting weights would I be able to put a load of heavy things into my backpack, then lay down (back against the floor) and then lift the weights with both of my arms?
Y'know, kind of like a substitution for not having equipment.
And if this works will I get the full effect, as if I really did have the equipment?
Suggestions would also be nice.

1. Hey. If you don't have any dumbells or any weight equipment it might work. But please be careful, it can hurt your back. Try to add loads of heavy items on slowly at a time. Pretty sure it will be or really close to be near the full effect. Good luck!
2. just do push ups. they're safer and work the same muscles plus a few more. if normal push ups are too easy then put some weight in the backpack and do push ups with it on your back. you can also do pull ups the same way.
3. i used to bench press my nephew, worked good for me
4. Using freeweights has always been much more effective versus equipment. such as dumbells. It gives the opportunity to increase your range of motion and workout and build the size and strength in 3 times the amount of various muscles.
5. yes make sure you have towels so the equipment doesent move around and make sure its evenly destributed throughout the backpack(no side heavier then the other)
