is there a way to figure how much a couple of weight lifting equipment machines would get my to scrap?

they are made from steel.. i do not know how much they but is there like a chart or something?

1. As a scrap dealer myself there is no basic chart.

You would probably have to check the LME (London Metal Exchange)
(As of 8/14/2008 760 per ton or 0.38 per pound) for the price of steel (it changes daily).

Unfortunately for you; you are not dealing with tonnes, you are only dealing with only a few hundred pounds at best and you will not get that price. If you weigh it yourself and call a few different scrap dealers at best you can get about 0.15 to 0.20 per pound

2. Unless your selling the weights your probably not looking at much weight in steel. Scrap yards usually purchase steel by the ton and will give you less money for lighter loads like yours. You can try the site below in sources section for current steel and iron prices
