Do bodyweight workouts build as much muscle as weight lifting?
Do bodyweight workouts like pushups, pull ups etc. build as much muscle as weight lifting or do they mostly just tone your muscles?
Im young(14) and wondering if bodyweight is better for me than weights.

1. no, you eventually become too strong for BW exercises to be effective
2. using progressive amounts of weight is the best way to build muscle... increasing resistance is the best way by far with weights. doing calisthenics can only get you so far unless you know how to increase the dificulty to extremes... and "toning" muscle comes from reducing body fat, has nothing to do with the amount of weight you are lifting. ALWAYS LIFT HEAVY!
