how long after quitting smoking should i wait until starting a weight lifting routine?
I am a 40 year old male and i have been trying to quit smoking permanently for the past few years with off and on results.I recently joined a gym and i want to start a regular exercise routine but i don't know if it is safe to do right off the bat - so - how long should i wait after that last cigarette to start lifting weights again?

3. If I were you, I'd start lifting immediately, as it will be a great outlet for the aggression and frustration you are bound to feel from the cravings. Best to check with your general doc for a regular checkup first just to make sure your vitals are in good shape.
Good luck!
