Do 3 day split weight lifting routines work?

monday-chest shoulders triceps
wednesday-legs and abs
friday-biceps and back
It seems like the idea of only working a muscle once a week wont train it enough? Do 3 day splits work?

1. As long as you lift in the 6-8 rep range, it works. Remember to have the 3 main compound movements as the base of your training days.
2. 3-day workout splits are excellent for building muscle mass.
It allows your body to take a lot of fatigue and a lot of recovery.
Your muscle grouping is also very well planned. ("Pulling muscles" and "pushing muscles".)
