Is it ok to do swimming after an intense weight lifting workout?

I had a great chest workout during school around 10 ish. I usual lift after school at lifetime, but this weights class I'm taking actually seems good so I won't lift after school, but I should start swimming now, just for the workout. I mean, it's just like another cardio workout, right?

1. It's more of a work out when you swim. I heard it loosens your muscles so you should be good
