Is it necessary to adjust exercise equipment seat positions ?

Does it matter too much how the seat position is arranged on cardio & weight lifting equipment, I usually just workout regardless of how the seat is positioned.

Public Comments

1. Depends on the equipment, but usually it is just for personal comfort.

2. There are easier methods to shed weight apart from dieting and working out. You can have a diet supplement that flushes out your pipes, you can shed as much as 20 pounds like this - and the weight comes off in the desired places aswell! 3. Bottom line is: yes you should adjust the seats, etc on exercise machines.

The machines are not a "one-size-fits-all" piece of equipment and need to be adjusted according to a person's height, etc; not only for comfort, but also to prevent injury and ensure you are getting the most out of your exercises.

There should always be at least one fitness instructor you can ask to show you how to correctly position the seats, but there are nearly always diagrams on the machines and instructions on what to do... if you are unsure, ask!

Please ensure you do adjust the machines from now on (or at least check they are in the right position for you). The last thing you want is to gain an injury and seriously hurt yourself.

Good luck!
