Weight lifting question ?
I have a nice bench press at my dads house and i bench every day im there. But at my moms house i don't have any form of weight lifting equipment. if i do push ups while im at my moms house will that at least keep me "neutral" by not losing muscle.

1. you dont lose muscle like your thinking, just because you stop working out for... a few weeks even, you'll lose barely any, if any at all. once its there, it pretty much stays there for months on end, then SLOWLY. goes away.
and besides, your better off doing pushups, little do you know.
when your doing bench presses, your back, neck, legs, butt, etc. is all supported by the chair, and your body senses that all it needs to do is kick back and just lift that up in the air. easy.
but when you do pushups, your body digs in for stabilizer muscles, that are rarely used. they're deep down in the muscle fibers.
and your body uses these because none of those are supported. and it needs to use them to make sure you can stay stable while going up and down.
but while using them, it works them out, which can mean more fat loss and bigger muscles.
goodluck!
2. It should help you maintain, I'm not sure on the intervals of time between your mom and your dads.
For push ups and bench press go slow on the way down aka the eccentric part of the movement. Some people push the weight up and let it drop giving their muscles a break, which is not good.
The part of the lift where you gain the most muscle is actually when you're lowering the weight( the eccentric part) or your body. Do this slowly and in a controlled fashion so that your muscle is under tension throughout the set.
3. Push ups are also good for building muscle. Just dont work out the same muscles everyday.
