How can i incorprate weight lifting into distance running?

I'm about to finish track of my sophomore year and I'm going to start cross country training soon. I also love weight lifting! I know that lifting too often/much will hinder distance runners because well most of them are tiny. But I wanna get cut and still be good at distance. How can I still get faster in distance and get cut(not like bulky) at the same time?

1. they make weighted jackets and wrist and ankle weights,

2. You can lift weights and still run distance.
Lift twice each week, and do a total body routine, do lots of abdominal and core work.
You will not bulk up if you lift correctly, all elite distance runners lift weights.

3. When lifting your weights lift less weight with longer reps. Stay away from heavy weights and short reps as these will bulk you up.
