How vital are weight lifting supplements?

Right now I basically only take a good multivitamin and make sure to eat a couple bananas or a protein shake within 30 minutes of my workout. Is it worth it to drop some $ on expensive supplements?

2. If your using a Good Protein Power, then, Mix it with Juice, Basically that's all you need, depending on what you are wanting to do...
You can use this be for you work out, & after... use it as a meal replacement with some fruit to lose waite. Like a Banana & a Apple or???
