Is it good or bad to wear weight lifting belts while doing squats and dead lifts?
I bought a belt for low back and abdominal support. Is it a good or bad thing to wear during weight training?

1. It's good of course, but totally unnecessary if your not a powerlifter or in true need of lower-back and hernia support (ie had a pervious injury that would require such support).
2. It is not a good idea. It teaches your body to rely on the support of the belt. You want to strengthen your abdominal and back muscles as well as using proper form. Using the weight belt will lead to muscle imbalances.
