What is the best combination of weight lifting supplements?

I am 26 years old, 5'6", 160lbs, and am a soldier in afghanistan. I have never really "weight trained" before, and the few times I mimicked somebody elses supplements, I always wound up unable to sleep at night, and kind've felt 'strung out' in a sense. I am hoping someone can help me in finding a supplement / combination of supplements to help me get right on track, and gain mass, while not de-hydrating me (which is why I mentioned I am in Afghanistan), and also boost the hell out of my testosterone. Like I said, I am new to all of this, and every time I attempt to research it on my own, it seems as if I am reading another language with all the chemical level jargon.
