Need advice for weight lifting supplements.?

Hi all,
I have been working out for about 2 years pretty consistent. I am 25. I recently boosted my weight from 145-150 to 160 using a better diet and workout routine. I eat minimum 6 times a day. Now I am thinking I should take supplements to help build and get the most from my workouts. Anyone with suggestions??

PS: I never do cardio as I am focusing on building and gaining weight.. but now I need the cutness back so I bought a bike to ride several miles a day. Should I start implemeting a strict cardio in my workout now to gain muscle mass and gain rip abs? No matter if you are slim putting on weight and working out busting your ass in the gym the weight seems to go to the belly! I am always jeleous of the guys juicing gaining bigger muscles quick with no fat.. ERRrr
Mike!?

I know you can get the whey protein from walmart but what about the one you talk about taking before you go to bed? can you get that thier too?

You sure there is no difference in the protein from the stores?

1. if you wanna gain muscle you NEED to be taking protein. one scoop before and one after working out. drink a big glass of milk (casein protein) just before bed to give your body slow-digesting protein overnight.
If you want to get big quick, try creatine. It will allow your muscles to better retain water and you'll get bigger.
Dont buy the expensive GNC crap, I get my protein from Walmart for 14 bucks and it works great. The creatine I also got cheap.

Edit: I know you can buy casein protein supplements but I've never bought it so I wouldnt know where. Milk contains lots of it so all I do is try to drink a big glass of milk right before bed.
As for the whey protein, Walmart carries a brand called Body Fortress. thats what I buy. Protein is protein, as far as I know. When you buy the more expensive stuff, what you're paying for is the other stuff they throw in there (stuff less natural and healthy than regular protein, I assume). If you decide you do want the extra stuff, I would just buy it separately.

2. You don't need supplements. In terms of supplements protein powder and perhaps creatine are the only ones that are worth taking. And the protein powder only because it's an easy way to substitute one of those meals or to supplement one that's a bit light on protein.

It's good that you've now updated your nutrition and workout, but keep at it.

Make your mind up what you want - cut or grow. Trying to focus on both is a recipe for disaster. That isn't to say that you can't get some cut while building but trying to do both at the same time will most likely just mean you fail both goals. If you find that you are putting on fat then up your cardio a little or eat a little more carefully.
