1. I take lots of supplements and I think most are safe if taken according to manufacturer's directions. I taken Optimum Nutrition Whey protein, Dynamatize 12 HR protein, Healthy N Fit Egg White Protein, Creatine Monohydrate (the most common kind), D-Ribose, L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, L-Carnitine and GNC AMP Pre-Post paks. I also take other supplements that I don't necessarily consider weight lifting supplements. I feel great and I think they enhance what I'm working toward. I wouldn't take them if I didn't feel they were safe. You can always go to a store like Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World, etc and find someone knowledgeable and pick his brain.
