1. I don't think for first starting out that a beginner of weight lifting or at any level, you should use anything. It goes against the bodies grain of being natural. Let it happen on it's own. I don't think supplements are good. Lots of chemicals in them..read a label one day. Do you want to be healthy then put all this chemical stuff into it that you can't even pronouce? Pretty silly I think. Just do it without the supplements. It can be done...I am living proof.

2. Hi, the only supplements beginners need is nutritious food, roughly 500 calories in excess to their daily needs to build muscle with weight lifting.

3. I wouldn't suggest any weight lifting supplements for at least the first few months if you're tlaking about the pills kinda thing. As far as creatine and protein, definitely. I would drink a protein shake about 5 or 6 hours before or after a workout. Protein adds mass to your muscles and also aids in repairing them when you mix it with workout programs. You don't want to have so much protein right before or after a workout because your muscles can only absorb so much protein after strenuous activity. Instead, have a recovery drink. 4/1 carb/protein ratio. Chocolate milk is excellent for this. Choco milk is a 3.8/1 carb/protein ratio which is too close not to take advantage of. Make sure it's 1% lowfat milk, premixed, not the nesquik stuff.
